At CLEANPRO Cleveland we take carpet cleaning seriously. We understand that carpets play a very important role in the look and feel of your home space. We also understand that carpets are long-term investments and they should be taken care of as such. There are some simple tips that you may want to follow to make your carpets endure and stay pretty.

1. Apply a good stain protector. Even though stain protectors are definitely not the way to always keep your carpets clean, a good chem-dry carpet stain protector may help you repel liquid spills and other minor damages.

2. Rearrange your furniture. This is all about changing the layout at least every six months. It is a good idea to change the traffic pattern once in a while. This will also create some balance in your carpet’s real estate and, of course, your carpet will last longer.

3. Take off your shoes but keep your socks on. This is one of those small things that make a huge difference. Shoes carry abrasive dirt and sand that literally steal years from your carpet. So take off your shoes… but keep your sock on! The oils in your skin are difficult to remove and will attract soil and grime.

4. Use rugs and runners in high traffic areas. It is common for some people to have rugs made out of the remnants after they install a carpet. You may definitely want to put some good heavy-duty mats outside too. The whole point is to protect your carpet in every reasonable way.

5. Vacuum as much as you can. You can never vacuum your carpet enough. Choosing a good vacuum cleaner is important. You may want to vacuum heavy-traffic areas more often than the rest. How often you should vacuum depends on how big your home is and how much traffic you have. You may even find it relaxing. Well, maybe not that much.

6. Clean spills and treat stains immediately. One of the most scary moments that you may suffer when trying to keep your carpet clean is when you accidentally spill some liquid that leaves a stain on your carpet. Use a blotting technique to remove excess, and do not rub, as it may push the stain deeper into the carpet. You should also use a quality stain remover.

7. Perform regular deep cleans. No matter how good you are to keep your carpet clean and pretty, it is good to practice a deeper clean once in a while. You should be careful on how you perform a deep clean. Too much water will damage your carpet and produce mold.

8. Do not steam your carpets. The traditional way of steaming your carpet is not a good idea. Do not steam your carpet, clean your carpet! The CLEANPRO carpet cleaning system performed by CLEANPRO Cleveland is the only technology based on the Ion exchange process that can provide you with a deep clean that dries in less that 2 hours.

9. Not too much sun on your carpet. If you some areas on your carpet are subject to too much sunlight, make sure you get some drapes or blinds over the windows to protect from fading or discolouration.

10.  Talk to your children and train your pets. Children are adorable and they can do whatever they want home. You may want to adopt some practical home policies such as eating or drinking in certain areas. Training your pets properly is something that can make your carpet and other furniture last longer.

And last but not least, don’t forget to call Cleveland Cleanpro! We serve all of the surrounding Cleveland area. We offer competitive, reasonable pricing for our city customers and we believe in giving people options. We won’t charge you for something you don’t need.
