The benefits of exercise are countless; it helps to prevent diseases, it improves our mood and it keeps our weight in control. However, having a healthy lifestyle isn’t easy after a long day at work - you probably won’t have enough time or desire to go to the gym.

When time is not enough, exercising at home seems like a great option. Although there are a few things you should consider, if you choose to work out on your carpet. That’s why, at Cleanpro in Cleveland, we invite you to read the following post:

Damage

You spend time and effort keeping your carpet tidy, why ruining it by exercising on it? After a while, all those push ups and yoga positions can fade your carpet -  especially if you have your tennis shoes on. Plus, sweat and grease will ruin your carpet.

Safety

Carpet it’s not the ideal surface to exercise; the abrasion of its fibers with your skin can burn you. Also, you won’t have the balance that some exercises demand.

Options

Exercising barefooted may be an option, just remember that your skin naturally produces oil that will go directly to your carpet. If you don’t have time to go to a gym, buy a yoga mat -  it will provide you a nice surface to work out.
